Museums
- Fort Huachuca
- There are three museums on Fort Huachuca, two dealing with the history of the Fort and the various units that have occupied it (including the Buffalo Soldiers) and the third relating the history of Military Intelligence. All three are within short walking distance of each other in the Old Post area and can be covered in an easy hour or two. They are all free to the military and public alike (though donations are welcome!). Non-military guests will need to register their vehicle at the Fort's Main Gate (Fry Blvd.) in order to gain entry for the day, see here for details. Hours: Mon-Fri, 9AM-4PM; Sat-Sun, 1PM-4PM. Directions here.

Nightlife
Other than a few cheap bars, there really isn't much of what city-folks would consider nightlife around here. Tucson is the closest place for that. Depending on the bar and the night, it is best to be careful around here. With a mix of rednecks, biker types and young GIs, fights are not uncommon. Also watch your wallet and your girlfriend.

Education
- BookCrossing.com: Arizona
- Find a book in the area. Leave a book for someone else to find. Its all free and better than the library--you can keep them. My shelf is here. Unfortunately this doesn't seem too active in the area.

Getting Around |
- Usually this is where info on the region's public transit system would be. There actually is one in Sierra Vista, Bisbee and to some extent in other cities in the county--and they are somewhat connected. However, they're largely useless with odd schedules and routes. Get a rent-a-car.
